ProofSnap preserves web pages, chats and files as forensic evidence packages that anyone can verify independently. It is built for lawyers, investigators and journalists, and for teams that need evidence capture inside their own tools.
Each capture contains a full-page screenshot, the page HTML, the page text, metadata, a chain of custody record and a tamper-evident forensic log. Every file is SHA-256 hashed and the manifest is RSA-signed to protect integrity. The package also records NTP-verified time, DNS, WHOIS and HTTP header data, with C2PA Content Credentials on the screenshot.
Depending on the plan, packages are anchored with an OpenTimestamps Bitcoin proof and an eIDAS qualified timestamp from Disig a.s., a Qualified Trust Service Provider on the EU Trusted List.
ProofSnap is available as a Chrome extension and as an API. Its remote MCP server at https://mcp.getproofsnap.com/mcp connects to Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor and other AI assistants, with OAuth sign-in and nothing to install. It also includes monitoring of watched pages, matter folders and a public verifier.
